Triennial Reviews of 5310 agencies are guided by the requirements and standard operating procedures detailed in the FDOT State Management Plan (.pdf). The purpose of the Triennial Review is to verify the agency’s compliance with the FDOT State Management Plan requirements. The review also examines the agency’s unique safety, security and maintenance practices to determine whether they comply with the policies outlined in their Transportation Operating Plan. Recommendations are provided to assist transit agencies with improving overall system performance, agency readiness and responsiveness while minimizing additional risks associated with safety, security and capital equipment failure.

Florida Small and Rural Transit Agency Bus Operator Training Program
The Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida was directed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to develop a model Bus Operator Training Program for use by Florida’s small and rural transit agencies.
